Verbatim 4GB flash memory stick

I bought a Verbatim 4GB flash memory stick yesterday here in Canada for $16. It is 2.5 cm long, 1 cm wide and about 3 mm thick. It’s the cutest, darndest thing. 4GB of memory that you just shove into a USB port and there you are. Neat! The biggest issue? Losing it, surely. Do people put these things on their key chains? Or what?

In any case…crikey, what a world we live in. You know you’re getting old when you chuckle at how far technology has moved on since your “salad days.”

Actually, I got the memory stick because I also bought an HP Mini yesterday ($599) and it suddenly occurred to me that, without an optical drive, I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to install Office on the unit.
