VLC plays EVERYTHING.
Must be a bad file.
Nothing to do with Demonoid.
VLC plays stuffs on my 10.4. It don’t like other region CDs, but if you press play before it spits em out, Bob’s yer uncle.
Could just play it on another player.
I’ve never had a problem with VLC…
VLC never asked me for DVD region … ‘Movie Player’ does and you can watch/change region 5 times … just play it in VLC, no problem … videos that other players wont play, VLC does …
yeah guys gotta agree. It does usually play ANYTHING.
Must be a bad file. I was bummed tho…was waiting days for the download to finish :fume:
Oh well…must be a bad file…
Sounds like a bad file. I’ve never had an avi not play in vlc. Not that all avi’s are the same, of course. That’s simply the box its wrapped up in. The contents can vary.
VLC usually even plays damaged files, etc. but there are some codecs it doesnt play, had a case just recently with some footage with a strange codec, couldnt get it to play at all without having to install another software, well I did find something to watch it now, but for the convertion tool I would have to pay or live with the watermark…
That codec was somehow from a newer version of FinalCut Pro.
Besides that I never even had troubles with crashed or damaged files, even files just half downloaded would play as much as it had…
VLC DOES NOT play everything and they don’t make that claim themselves. As said, it won’t play some codecs. It also doesn’t play x264/h264 well, and that codec is very common now. However 264 shouldn’t be in an avi.
It definitely won’t be anything to do with the file being from Demonoid.
