In the end, a dude still runs the books and drives a scooter. Happens all the time here. Costco, McDonald’s etc all get caught cutting corners. It’s not uncommon. Even less uncommon to do it and not get caught/questioned.
I wonder what the fda thinks about about half the possible roadside dominos slices. Or uber/panda. Sometimes economy trumps regulation until someone reports it. Wink wink. Forced knee-jerk.
As Brian says. Perhaps financial desperation. Another possibility is they got other shipments of contaminated ingredients they are trying to flog off quick and easy without actually committing fraud. Which unfortunately also happens a lot here.

Tomato sauce or tomato paste is the base to make ketchup. But in Taiwan all tomato products are sweet. It’s actually a trend from tomato seed companies to search for/ create sweet tomatoes. Tomato seeds can cost up to 400,000 Euros for a kilo.
They can shop in Taiwan for seeds lol. Anything over a couple thousand/kg usd for tomato seeds seems like a scam. But anything bred/gmo for reducing labor/jobs is going to be top dollar.

If I want to spend $500 for a $30 cost of mush and a load of pesticides, herbicides, preservatives and other garbage. I will go to 711 and feed 5 people instead of one.

Agreed. Love Doms but hadn’t had in 6 years. Last Month ordered some late night pizzas after a wedding and they were disappointing. The sauce was so nasty I can’t believe it go through to the public. Done with them until a change.
