I brought two sets of darts with me… so any place I can do this in Taipei?
Preferably a legit place not one that’s an afterthought for ambiance of the bar.

On Tap has boards and a league running for serious darters.
Steel or soft? Many places now use have coin op soft tip machines. Try Green Door on De Hui St. in Taipei by the old Combat Zone. They should have a bristle board where you can play for free.

You got some good advice. Downtown, Green Door and On Tap (they have a website) is pretty much it for steel darts now. I think Green Bar in Tienmu still has darts. I believe there is a soft tip bar with a bristle board, but I can’t remember which. Unfortunately, all the older, really good steel dart players are pretty much retired. If you’re lucky, you’ll run into Hans at Green Door. He’s the owner. He’s pretty good. The last time I went in, the board at green door was getting a little old, but still usable. If you are really into darts, you’ll love the memorabilia wall. Hans helped sponsor a lot of the steel dart teams that participated in Pacific Cup tourneys in the 80s.
If you are going to be in Taipei for awhile and you really like darts and competition. Soft tip is the way to go. There are a handful of really hot shot shooters. There are a couple of soft tip places with a ton of supplies.
Not really too interested in soft tip… call me old school but I like the danger of mixing pointy steel darts and alcohol. But I am aware that soft-tip brings with it lower insurance rates for businesses.
I’m far from a professional dart player, I just like to play a few rounds.
