WCIF a second hand stuff store in Taipei

Anyone know any second hand / flea market type shops in Taipei city?

There used to be one near my old place where you could buy really cheap appliances like microwaves and toaster ovens, but it went out of business it seems.

Whereabouts in Taipei City? I mean, there is a whole street close to Hoping East Road, called Guling street. Row and row of old stuff. But that is for appliances and kitchen/office stuff. What are you looking for?

Was the one near you the one in Ximending? It closed down and merged with its other branch in Zhonghe District, New Taipei City.

Actually, I am looking for kitchen appliances, so I’ll have to check that street out. My place is near Heping East Rd and Jilong Rd, so not too far.

I’d still try to buy from another foreigner who is leaving. More reliable.

Name what you need. I may have it cheap or free.

i’m also searching for cheap kitchen appliances! like a water boiler or a hot plate…something cheap and small!! can anyone help? or have something like this for sale?

If you guys are on Facebook, check Taipei Buy Sell Trade, a lot of random things get posted on there including kitchen appliances. Just keep an eye out, I once posted my listing and 2 mins later it was already 10th from the top.

Yup, Taipei Buy Sell Trade is the place to go. We recently sold a fridge and other kitchen stuff. I think we still have a water boiler, coffee mug warmer and so on, and a really butch heavy-duty mixer, still under warranty. But for the thread title in general, it depends on what kind of stuff you’re looking for. For instance, there’s a 2nd-hand name-brand goods store that looks like it specializes in stuff like designer handbags on Jilong Rd. a bit north of Zhongxiao, on the east side.

There’s a shop in Danshui, just opposite the water company office, that’s full of stuff like this. They offer a money-back guarantee if something doesn’t work.

I also have a water boiler that’s currently not being used.
And a rice cooker too.
And an old computer (who doesn’t have one of these?).

Hi, sorry for hijacking the topic.
Can you please show me where the shop in Zhonghe. THank you very much.

If you don’t mind shopping online, there is a very useful Taiwanese website. It’s a online secondhand shop. You can find a lot of good deals there and it’s mostly free shipping. You can also sale things on the website too.

Check it out.

I am looking for pots and pans (cooking board/knife/utensils) for cheap or free?
Do you know any place that does this kind of trading?

I am interested in finding a flea market preferably.
Not online. Anyone online will know what they are selling.
On the street. That is where you will find diamonds in the rough.

There’s a big store on Roosevelt a couple of stores up from Guting exit 7 that has a bunch of second-hand/antique stuff.

Like, collectible stuff, that would be the one on weekend mornings under the Sanchong bridge.

I have also found a couple of gems at the Tzu Chi recycle center in Badeh road. Not very friendly service though -they are way too busy, to be fair.

The second had store referred in Roosevelt is a chain, with other smaller stores near Taipei Main -behind the YMCA-, near Breeze Center in Fuxing, and others. Chinese name: 再生工場

There are other places specifically for books or CDs or stamps.
