Did anyone ever tried this kind of chocolate? From Dubai? Seems to become popular. I am not even sure what is the green stuff in the middle. Said pistachio or something.
For brand comparison, I’d say they’re slightly better than a slightly more expensive brand at City Super, and slightly worse than another much-more-expensive brand at City Super.
But as others have said, the main point is to have them after they’ve sat atop a hot beverage for a couple minutes. They’re far better that way. If you just eat one out of the bag you’ll be confused about the appeal.
A more idiosyncratic virtue: I suck at self-control with junk food. I open a bag of cookies or bag of chips, and they’re done by my next meal (if they don’t just become my next meal). But these semi-require a freshly brewed hot beverage, so I’m “forced” to ration them out and, unusually for me, eat snacks in sensible amounts.
Yeah, nah… never ever seen a dutchman do that in Holland.
Eaten plenty of the stroopwafels there, tasty👍…but noone - absolutely no person at all - instructed or demonstrated such an act.
Sounds to me like something dreamed up by a marketing promotion board, I suspect like that Tequila ritual we are “supposed to do” of biting a lime and licking the salt off your elbow or somesuch nonsense. What do they do in Mexico when drinking that stuff btw?
It’s that time of the year again and I’m trying to find Terry’s Chocolate Oranges. Milk chocolate preferred, but I’ll pretty much take anything including the drab dark chocolate.
I went to Carrefour in Tanshui yesterday and alas, no Terry’s Chocolate Oranges. Probably due to the fact that Carrefour is no longer French owned and is slowly being localized by the Taiwanese company who now owns the Taiwan chain. That’s a shame.
So, if anyone finds any around, please let me know right away. I would assume that the best places to find them might be Mia C’bon or possibly the western supermarkets in the B2 of either Takashimaya, Mitsukoshi or Sogo.
