I have heard it on and off for a couple of months. Not all the time–ever so occasionally I hear a slightly high-pitching clicking, like a chik, chik chik chik chik chik.
I always assumed it was a bird outside sat on the AC or something. But today I heard it in a room with no AC machine, and sounding like it came from near a wall. So I don’t think it is a bird.
I asumme it is a kind of animal, but has anyone else heard it? Is it s type of bug. It doens’t sound ratty, and there’s no sign of a rat in the apartment.
Afriad I can’t describe the noise much better, or record it since it just happens at random some time.
It’s fairly loud, I can hear it pretty well. It doesn’t come from the same place every time either, it comes from high or low or medium and not every day and at random times.
All I can think is, I have a strange high pitched bug lurking somewhere. Or, possibly, could it be a bird and the sound just carried strangely? Or maybe the bird has found its into the wall somehow (a gap where the pipes are/AC connects or whatever.
I repeated the video multiple times to see if I could get the actual gecko to click, but it didn’t. I thought it might fool it into giving up its location so I could see it (just to see how big it is, the gecko can stay).
That’s a Tokay, not a Gecko (seems that video si not playing the sounds linked to the Gecko images)… quite different, much much bigger and with a bigger fatter head
