Not out yet, but the only book with a 2025 release I know I will read is Ron Chernow’s biography of Mark Twain. Just about guaranteed to be worth reading. May release, >1,200 pages, can’t wait.
Eyes watering.
Looks like ~13 May 2025 release.
Time to read this currently popular somewhat related in advance if so inclined

Elon thinks like a Taiwanese person. Always looking for ways to cut costs.
Always trying to cram more stuff without requiring more fuel, like TSMC.
Focus on manufacturing more than design.
Doesn’t do marketing.

The idea of a book/play that infects its readers with madness.
Vague lines between insanity and science fiction. Can see the connecting thread.
Supposedly a huge influence on H.P. Lovecraft.
HBO’s True Detective was loosely built around this novel, s1. I read the novel just to learn what’s up.
Great television, better than the novel by far. Director was Cary Joji Fukunaga. Among the best tv horror of all time imo.
Early seasons were great and loved the Matthew Mcconaughey Woody Harrelson dynamics.
Haven’t figured out the connection with this book The King In Yellow as it’s a collection and i’m only up to story five.

DNF after 25% of book. A bit lost in this “prophetic masterpiece”.
Some fat kid can’t get laid. Also there’s some stuff about Dominicans and the Trujillo regime and stuff. I keep having to use an online translator because there’s a bunch of words that aren’t in English on, like, every page. I’m picking up a lot of dirty slang in Spanish, though - it’s a real education!

#4 in series my favorite so far with multiple problems/resolutions by Jeeves in each story. Laugh out loud light as a feather but fun.
Thank You, Jeeves

#5 of the series worst so far. Jeeves leaves to another employer but still influencing things. Trigger words, language, references.

One of the oddest books i’ve ever read with no discernible meaning or conclusion although a lot of people give it 5 stars.
