What brands do Taiwanese gen Z, millennials, and boomers like?

Going back to Taiwan in a couple of months and I need to bring back gifts for gen z and millennial cousins and boomer aunties. What do you guys suggest? Any particular designer or items that are hot in Taiwan right now? This is what I’m thinking:

  • Trader Joe’s snacks and totes
  • LeBron jerseys for my bball loving cousins and North Face shirts or jackets for my other gen z male cousins — is there a more well loved brand?
  • Tory Burch or Coach wallets/bags for my millennial cousins and boomer aunts — are these still loved by them there? My aunts were so excited about these 15 years ago.
  • Supplements
  • What about hydroflasks or Stanley cups or tumblers? Are these popular there?
  • Skincare such as Estée Lauder serums but maybe not since I’m sure the dept stores there carry this

Welcome to the forum.

Your relatives must have high standards to expect or need those.

You can throw in bags of coffee (Taiwanese now bigger coffee drinkers than tea drinkers) and maybe something specific from your state, instead of Lebron/NBA stuff, which is everywhere here anyway .

Have fun on your trip!

Try to buy things that don’t say ‘Made in China’

Just buy wine for everyone.

Apple products

supplements

Lululemon seems to be popular

I would say that coach and North face are not as popular now

The products are for Taiwanese people. They dont care.

North Face not quite as popular as it once was, but still OK. Maybe A&F/Hollister clothes for the younger relatives.

Can go wrong with heroin. :syringe:

Rolex

Don’t we have this stuff in Taiwan? Lululemon is made in Taiwan.

We have everything.

I only heard of lululemon because someone asked my friend to buy some in America. Is it a Taiwanese brand?

Maybe it is cheaper there.

US Brand. It’s just made here.

I usually go for things I can’t buy here when gift giving.

You can get it, but it’s much more expensive.

I was just going off his list. Most of the things he mentioned we have so i dont think that is a big consideration.

Are they shopping for you or gift giving?

I’ve always found See’s Candies to be a popular gift. Not in the summer though. Those chocolates will just melt into puddles.

These items are available in Taiwan, but they aren’t particularly popular or sought after. Locals generally don’t prioritize having high-end brands like Stanley cups.

Bringing skincare products like Estée Lauder serums is a great idea . Skincare items at department stores in Taiwan can be quite pricey, so your gift could be appreciated for both its quality and value.

Coach wallets were quite popular in the past, but high-quality leather goods are always a good choice. They make for elegant and appreciated gifts.

Basketball is popular in Taiwan, but NBA jerseys aren’t commonly worn. Consider opting for stylish basketball shirts or other branded products instead. Also, high-quality basketball shoes could be a great gift, though they might be bulky for your luggage.

Can’t go wrong with a few bottles of good bourbon or rye whiskey.
