Hi there! I have a question…
My aunt passed away last year in the Netherlands. She had a Taiwanese nationality. She owned a house in the Netherlands and for the settlement of the estate, the Dutch notary needs a document/certificate of how many children my aunt has in Taiwan. Does anyone know on which document this is stated? Can my father, her brother, apply for this? Thanks so much in advance!
Any way to get the house hold certificate? That should list any children she has.
Thank you for your answer. Is it possible to apply for a household certificate for a deceased person?
Probably, but maybe check with the HHR office, they have someone who can assist you in stuff like this. I seriously doubt this is the first time a next of kin needed to get a household certificate for a deceased person.
Okay, i’ll contact them to see if we can get such a certificate. Thanks so much again!
Here’s the instruction on how to obtain HHR certificate for deceased relatives. If it’s an immediate family member, it’s easier. If it’s aunts/uncles then you need supporting documentation or something.
So if you can have your aunt’s children apply for the documentation, it would be easier.
