He died a heroic death in “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan”, only to be immediately resurrected in “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock”. During the fifth season of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” he was revealed to have lived into the 24th century. An ambassador like his father Sarek, he traveled to the enemy planet Romulus and began working with the democratic underground. Presumably he is still there, novelizations notwithstanding.
