Too lazy to look up the stats yourself? ![]()
How are you making money out of this? I can’t figure it out.
Very few Indians here in Taiwan. I rarely come across one unless I go to an Indian restaurant.
Taiwan is not a popular tourist destination for Indians for a variety of reasons…
Getting high is against the law here.
I think filipinos population are more dense
Indonesian, by a long stretch
From India about 5,400
Some interesting notes, from Canada much more men, seems less ladies from Canada come here.
In contrast Indonesia has much more women than men live in Taiwan.

Highest? Well, I guess you start at 3950m and work downwards to find the highest. Yushan is located in Nantou County. Nantou has 15,235 foreign residents. So, right out the bat, it’s Indonesians, Vietnamese & Philipinos which account for about 88.6% of the total.
National Immigration Agency, R.O.C. (Taiwan) - 2024.5 Foreign Residents by Nationality.
This number doesn’t include naturalized residents, ie. those who by marriage or other means have taken on local citizenship. It doesn’t include tourists, those on non-resident visas, and those who are otherwise between status.
That’s not very nice, the Filipinos I’ve met seem as clever as anyone else.
This data can be easily found on NIA’s website. Please look.
Canadians

Most surprisingly - the total number of people from “the West” (American and Europe) is under 30k. We’re a statistical error amongst the total population.
and yet the only ones the gov kinda “cares” about and tries to get more and more (while not doing that much to fix the issues).
Real racism and discrimination at work here, shameful to be fair.
There’s more Vietnamese women than that here for sure it’s just that they tend to renounce when they settle here and then reapply later for their Vietnamese passports (as long as you jump thru the stupid hoops the government doesn’t care what you do after getting the ID).
I mean a lot of them are Taiwanese Vietnamese dual citizenship and they won’t be counted obviously.
I wonder where Hongkongers would rank on that list if they were classified as foreigners.
Yes I’m also curious about Hkers and Mainlanders probably on another list somewhere.
Sure just as I am not counted as an Australian. No ARC
To be a foreigner here to have to come in as one. lol
Chinese are right up there as well.
, this list seems to have some flawed data.
Immigration in pingtung always used to have the stats posted on the wall, including the Chinese.
Do you know anybody that’s done this?
Because the law says if you want to resume, you need to renounce the foreign citizenship, (Taiwan in this case)
