What is the standard procedure for babies directly after delivery in Taiwanese hospitals?

Hospital dependent. We had ours at Boai in Luodong this April, and we had the option for “24 hour together time” or something, can’t remember what exactly they called the program in Chinese.

Of the 10 or so babies there, we were the only ones doing it, lol. All the other babies were full time in the nursery, ours was with us full time except for baths by the nurses and another 2-3 hours each day when the nurses took her to give us a break.

I am very glad we did the “together time”. My wife had a C section so she was out of it esp. during the first 48 hours. But, I was able to soothe our daughter, set her up in feeding position, carry her around, change her diapers, etc. Doing all that from the very start was extremely important for our bonding, IMO.
