What is with the washing dishes in the gutter thing

Salmonella is on the (hidden) menu at many Restaurants world wide, not just the cheap traditional Asian markets.

I don’t see anything wrong with this. In the US, it might be refrigerated but it’s decomposing in plastic for days before we buy it.

All of those food scraps in the water gutters certainly helped make some neighborhoods I lived in to possess a very distinctive smell.

I used to live with a street noodle vendor. His meat sauce was made once per month in a big pan and never refrigerated (just covered by newspapers in the house). His meat sauce would certainly test your digestive system.

Oh, that makes me want to avoid the vendors more than the gutter washing thing.
