Microplastics are the new flavor enhancer…

Meh, close enough. In any case, a very bizarre branding decision.

At the time Formosan Plastics was the biggest company in Taiwan and its owner the most wealthy. It was the TSMC of the 80s.

The amount of environmental damage that company has done to parts of western Taiwan (esp Yunlin) and also overseas with their plants is staggering.

Yes, although I am not too sure if the semi-conductor companies aren’t doing the same. Anyway, DuPont has poisoned the entire planet and yet it is still operating just fine.

I went to a Trump Steak a year or 2 back. It was limp and under done.

The poll is CLOSED. Thanks to everyone for their participation and stimulating discussion.

Lots of international representation (including 6 non-greasy NY places) on this list.

There was a guy selling something similar in the lane leading to Sogo from Zhishan station. It was more of a pork pepper bun type crust though, “margarita” option

not sure this place still exists but in the 90s there was a newly built small boutique hotel on a side street (forgot the name ) near chongshan N. Rd Section 1 or 2, forgot. Anyway nice hotel with a second floor italian restaurant. Great oven made pizza. REally good place. Called the White HOuse hotel i think? forgot.
Forgot everything but remembered the pizza was good and the hotel was HAUNTED. Heard rumors. Had to get up early to catch flight on one of the several times I stayed there and just before the alarm went off all the lights came on in the room and the tv went on as well…the ghhoooost musta said TIME TO GET YOUR ASS UP DONT MISS THAT FLIGHT. Plus i like to keep the toilet room light on and the door just ajar for some light before bed? and THAT light went off during the night.

Dont remember the name of the restaurant either but they should have called it CASPER’S

ok used a map. its near chang chun rd and chongshan sec 2. Dont see the hotel on google now tho.

I think Americans eat too much, and some Americans and die faster from eating too much and unhealthy food.. In Japan, it’s lighter food, so it’s popular in Europe, nice chain in Italy I tried was lighter than in USA.

Just made a Detroit style pizza, so good.

Japanese food seems overrated. I do love their fried chicken. The sushi thing is massive lol.

Interesting restaurant name. Japs is considered a slur in the U.S.

When I was in Singapore, they use to call Japanese people, though it was old English or maybe its Singapore English.
