Not your typical prostitute hooks up with rich guy movie. Off the rails.
Rare Exports.
If you like smaller doses and haven’t seen them, or don’t remember seeing them, the BBC’s 60s & 70s television series A Ghost Story For Christmas, adaptations of M.R. James’ short stories. Don’t think any of them are >45min and most are ten minutes shorter. Some of them are really good.
How do you watch this?
Shudder. I’d imagine BritBox or AcornTV might also carry the BBC series.
Carry On, on NF
Die Hard meets The Rock meets Nick of Time = 90 minutes of hot garbage
it has a Diehard vibe to it. I enjoyed it.
It was ok, not terribly Die Hard 1, obviously Die Hard 2 was more similar. Probably the worst I’ve ever seen Jason Bateman
Also, this: one of my favorite modern filmmakers will remake a childhood classic. He makes kinda weird films, so it should be nicely surreal!

I watched my 4 faves and gave this one a shot. Kinda meh, the list stands at 4
He did Nosferatu. Did you see it(I haven’t)? I feel like Labyrinth could only be improved.
No, but I’ve seen the VVitch several times, the Northman twice, The Lighthouse once. I’ll watch Nosferatu when it is on offer in front of me
Maybe if you were too old when it came out, or not alive. I suspect I was the target audience, young me loved it and now there is that nostalgia. A remake will be different, I hope, because now I’m an adult
Possibly so. It was a little muppety iirc.
Absolutely willing to give it another chance.
Yeah, and I watched the muppet show as a kid, and fraggle rock. I also liked the crystal shard (less so the prequel)
I think my sister has all the muppet movies on dvd now
Also for me it was Dark Crystal over Labyrinth
probably generational
So a lady at my gym told me she dragged her husband to see A Complete Unknown, which she said is very good. In fact, she said the theater was packed and at the end gave a standing ovation! For a movie. ![]()
Weird.
I’m not a big fan of biopics, but if it’s free I might watch this one anyway.
just saw it, not bad, preposterous movie but …take away is if you see an ear piece and you are a luggage inspector DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR EAR. ![]()
have not watched a movie in a theatre since i think Gozilla minus one.
