what else should I waffle, all stoopwaffles
what else should I frazzle, everyone is basil
four children for sale, that’s frikken insane
in the sun in the sun I feel as one
In the sun
warty towels
farty owls
yeah yeah yeah
This is precisely what I said to my wife the other night when she made a sarcastic remark about the relative lack of initiative on the part of my relatives working in a planning office in the Wallachian region of Romania for ensuring adequate roadside drainage in rural areas where wheat farming is the predominant form of agricultural production.
This exchange reminds me of the David Bowie Spiders from Mars album cover which specifies “To be played at maximum volume”. It’s like that except it’s “To be replied to with maximum incoherence”
This is precisely what I said to my wife the other…
Sorry, this frivolousness and flippancy, it’s a terrible habit. Form of Tourette’s, sorta. Funerals and other solemn occasions are the hardest struggles. Everything’s funny when you’re supposed to be serious.
You never know how you are going to react. Overcome with uncontrollable sorrow, so that you can hardly stand - due to the crushing grief - at a funeral of a complete stranger. Or suppressing uncontrollable laughter at the last blessing of a beloved family member. And that is even before the urge to do the Basil faulty don’t mention the war jack-booting performances are factored in. I know exactly how you feel. I find standing close to the available exits tends to help.
This latest one is a bit trippy in a Stereolab kinda way. Plus eerie vocals, reverse recording, the works. I made this while presumably my neighbours and most everyone else on my street were fully clothed, but I refuse to be subject to any legal enforcement of this claim, so don’t even bother trying.
Very nice, I liked the James Cagney one. I got home today and there is a note on the door with qr codes and Chinese hieroglyphs saying the water will be cut off - tomorrow! - cause I didn’t pay a bill from last year for a whopping 200 NT. (Funny thing is that I paid the bill already and have the receipt…) Rang their hot line and got endless recorded messages in Chinese. Went back hit the endless hold with no answer “For English press 8” special.
In other breaking news I got a written notification that I paid tax to the value of 2NT in the letterbox.
Carol Of Harvest biography
Founded in Cadolzburg, Bayern, Germany in 1978 - Alex Schmierer recorded under the revived moniker in 2008
One of the many German bands to release a single album on a private label and watch it grow into a collector’s dream. Carol of Harvest played a dreamy blend of Progressive Rock and Folk with female vocals that might be compared with Mellow Candle and early Clannad mixed with Jane, Pentangle and Renaissance. The music has the added edge of long arrangements with Moog synth and acid guitar solos, and in reality has little to do with Krautrock.
Information on the band members is very hard to find, helping to shroud this hard to find album with an air of mystery.
