Yes lol. Well, if you know Mandarin it’s structurally quite similar, so I think that’s an advantage. I think Mandarin is a good comparison for how tough it is, speaking wise. Writing is infinitely easier than Chinese, there’s an actual alphabet. It’s pretty straightforward except for the tonal system which is rather complex, though it does effectively provide tonal information. I don’t think it’s that hard to learn to a simple level for reading signs and stuff, considering.
Think about the compounding benefits of this thread, if kept up for 2-3, 5, 10 years.
And don’t forget to revise Mandarin Corner from time to time.
It would easily be possible to study this one video for 10-20 hours, and get deeply into beauty product vocabulary. There’s plenty of science and general Chinese there.
