What TV shows are you watching (2022)

,

But you seem to be using it as a review. Why not just give the show a chance? I was prepared to hate it, and was pleasantly surprised.

So I watched the Korea zombie Show recently, the kingdom zombie one, and hellbound.

I’m starting really like Korean cinema and shows. Anyone have any suggestions?

The Korean movies I’ve seen are train to Busan, the good the bad and the weird, I saw the devil. Probably more but I can’t remember off the top of my head

Anything by Bong Joon-ho: Memories of Murder, Snowpiercer, Parasite…

The Handmaiden

I have too many things I want to watch so I’ll pass.

What’s at the top of your list?

Lots of movies. TV shows then probably The Shield and Rectify. I also heard Hacks is really good.

Rectify is kind of a slow burn, but it’s pretty good. I’ve also been meaning to watch The Shield.

I’ve read the blurb and it looks right up my alley.

Crisis in six scenes on Amazon Prime. It’s from 2016 yet feels very timely as it discusses war overseas and how people respond to it. It covers many themes which are discussed on this website (racism, injustice, politics, war) in a thought provoking way. It’s a Woody Allen farce, so the jokes come thick and fast and you need to stay alert to catch them all.

Two thumbs up.

Just observing the design of the workplace is a thrill. Those weird computers. The dividers. The pep talk.

So many excellent ones, S Korea has topped Japan as the preeminent Asian quality cinema country.

Oldboy, Peppermint Candy, Mother, Burning, Poetry , Thirst (since you are into zombies and vamps)

Etc etc

Awesome! I’ve only seen old boy from that list (can’t believe I forgot to mention it! So good)

Euphoria

Another reason to watch from cinema art creativity perspective.

"contacted Kodak to find out if they could source enough 35mm Ektachrome to shoot the entire series. For the first time in cinematic history, Kodak agreed to reopen parts of the Kodak factory to make their request possible and the results are stunning.

Ektachrome is known for its vibrant colors, fine grain and ability to pick up beautiful skin tones – a major advantage for Euphoria considering there are so many emotive close-ups."

Just started sick note on Netflix with Rupert Guinness and Nick Frost. Not too bad

Also watching Norsemen

Love how he stays completely in character…

It’s ok.

The second one had Amy Adams too.

Severance really is just incredibly well-crafted. Everything is close to perfect. On-track to be THE stand-out show of 2022. Unless they somehow fail to stick the landing, but nothing indicates that as of now (ep 8 out of 10).
