It’s tomorrow, right? That’s what my kid’s school flyer said. 
It will be the first time I celebrate American Thanksgiving as an American. We will order pizza. However, because it IS a special day after all, instead of Pizza Hut, I might splurge and cab it to Alleycat’s for a pick up.

I’m having a bowl of cry-myself-to-sleep-alone-in-Taiwan whilst dreaming of the yearly turkey, stuffing, vegetables, corn bread, mashed sweet potato, cranberry sauce, and deserts.
Just lugged my turkey home. Have to do it on Sunday though, and I don’t think there’s any football game on.
I thought you had roaches or spiders and bugs to keep you company.
I was thinking homemade lasagna if I can figure out how to do it.

im glad my bro has a wife thats apretty doggone good cook and I always go to his place for a toikey dinnner on the thanksgiving afternoon/nite.
Since its in san jose, i will stop by the local topless viet cafes fore i come back up to the east bay.

We’re having a traditional Thanksgiving meal here in the UAE with friends. I had to hit four different supermarkets to find all of the ingredients for cheesecake and pumpkin pie (and a turkey!), but I am happy to say that I was finally successful.

I haven’t done any, really, since arriving here 17+ years ago, and Dragonbabe will be off teaching by the time I get home to have Dragoncito passed to me by Ama and Agong. Without a day or two off to prepare and without family expecting a big feast that day and without reasonably priced and easily available ingredients for the kind of meal I’d like to do, as we’d have back in Illinois, it just doesn’t make sense to try to do it at all. I tend to cook up nice feasts on weekends; cain’t do it suddenly on a Thursday after a long day at work.
I just cooked up some nice frijoles de olla and made queso fresco, so perhaps I’ll make some chilaquiles con pollo to go with them, and snack on that while bouncing the baby on my knee. 
I never did either but once the kids got older I started feeling this like primal call to stuff a turkey into my convection oven.
Now in your oven I might fit!

Drove 150 miles roundtrip to eat some turkey? Worth it? Not on the surface, but good to see family so yes on that count.
