What’s a decent tour company to recommend a friend or acquaintance to get an enjoyable tour of this rock at a fair price.
I’m unable to act as tour guide and at best would be able to visit my friend when they tour my area.
I’ve yet to do tour ora reserve without running into some ilogical problem, hence I’m actually hesitant to recommend Taiwan to anyone who hasn’t gone through a similar tourist baptism unexpected problems.
An other question, could a person who goes to Japan on a package tour be able to some how divert to Taiwan or put a hold on the return trip, come here the go back to Japan to continue home?

My mom hired a personal driver and act as a tour guide basically. I think it costs like 5k a day. The car can occupy 8 people. The driver speaks chinese tho. He can provide itinerary but you are free to tell him to revise if you want to change something.

My friend does cruises and things like Christmas Market tours.
I’m just looking for a reasonable out-of-the-box provider of tours that a single person can go on. Not too expensive not too cheap.
Lion Travel is maybe the largest with shops in both north and south Taiwan.
There is Taiwan Tour, but it is not very high quality. But it is in English.
I have heard good things about these guys from a very picky friend, no small feat, but it is mostly outdoorsy stuff.
Lion Travel is my favorite but I do not know if they do English tours, will ask as I live practically next to one. Last time I went with them the guy had lived in Mexico and spoke a little bit of Spanish so they must have someone available I guess in English.

Taiwan businesses, at least for mid-range tourists, just don’t have that International friendly touch.
Why is that? My friend can confidently book Christmas tours in Europe or even snag a decent tour to Japan. What is Taiwan lacking?
