I just bought this type of fish at the market. In Chinese, it’s called “Snow Fish,” and I looked it up online and came up with “cod,” but I’m not sure. Any more amphibious experts out there?
Quick bilingual Google search suggests that “Cod” is correct. Lots of different varieties listed, too.

Patagonian toothfish. Or sablefish. Or escobar. Not remotely related to cod. Tastes good, though. Get it while you can, as it is rapidly being fished out by the Koreans and Taiwanese.

Sablefish huh? That was another of the names that the dictionary came up with.
They don’t lay many eggs, the eggs take a long time to develop, and they live for a long time compared to many other commercially fished species. Problem is, they live in areas seldom commercially fished until relatively recently. Now the Southern Ocean is being utterly raped by the Taiwanese and Koreans, it won’t be long until they’re no longer a viable catch. Don’t buy it.

It’s definitely a Patagonian saltwater banana cod. You can see by the packaging.
So a portion of it would be a codpiece?
