What's the frequency of Bus Rapid Transit from Chiyayi HSR to TRA station?

We are trying to plan Alishan trip from Taipei.

Based on ticket availability below route seems feasible to us

Taiwan High Speed Railway Chiayi Station exit 2 [@ 2 pm]→Bus Rapid Transit→Chiayi Railway Station (25 minutes)→take a Taiwan Tourist Bus or public bus to Alishan [Buy tickets on the spot]

But we don’t know what’s the frequency of BRT bus from HSR to TRA at Chiyayi? Can anyone help? Thanks.

This one has no service between 8:15 and 16:35 on weekdays and between 7:35 and 14:55 on weekends.

I also found that there is a direct bus from HSR Chiyayi to Alishan [Bus 7329]

But it’s not clear if we can buy tickets in advance or not. On this page they say there is 50% discount on e-tickets https://www.taiwantrip.com.tw/news/726

but no idea where to buy etickets from. Any help?

If you exit the HSR station at 2pm you will not be able to catch that bus, because the last service is at 1:10pm. So you still have to take a bus to the downtown railway station.

What they mean by e-ticket is a card like EasyCard or iPass (not cash). You can swipe the card when boarding the bus, no need to buy in advance. But note that if you go during the holiday period (April 3~8) there will probably a LOT of people…
