What's your favorite Christopher Walken movie?

I love this guy.

I go for Dogs of War, 1981.
Christopher Walken and Tom Berenger star in this high-powered adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s best-selling novel. Walken leads a band of crack mercenaries in a brutal, graphic, all-out battle to overthorw a vicious African dictator. Watch as these brave men discover the true nature of honor and heroism.
Not only does he get some great one liners in, “Yer LATE!” and “Yer gonna hafta buy it again!” he gets to shoot and awesome grenade style tommygun! whoohoo

image from netflix, a great company for fat lazy people.

Joe Dirt.

He’s great in all his appearances. My fav. is a tie up between “The Dead Zone”. and “The King of New York”. That dancing video for Fat Boy Slim’s song was prerrty nifty as well,

I like his Celebrity Psychic Friends Hotline. It changed my life.

‘Plots With A View’

Agree that he’s great in everything. Haven’t seen a lot of his movies (he’s been in over 100, minus TV), but the ones that stick in my mind:

 • [b]The Deer Hunter /b
 • Biloxi Blues (excellent casting fit)
 • Last Man Standing (with Bruce Willis)
 • Blast From The Past (great comedy)

What is it about this guy? :s
I don’t get it at all – I’m happy to rent a DVD, no matter how crappy looking, if it has him in it, even if its just a cameo role.

MORE COWBELL!

A video he did with Madonna, where he played the angel of death.

Second that.

I also remember liking Suicide Kings.

Of the few Christopher Walken movies I have seen, I think “The Rundown” is my favorite. He is just perfect in the role of the villan. And generally, I enjoy seeing him in all the other movies too.

The movie where he WAS an angel of death: “He was the biggest meanest monkey of them all!”

two words:
awe
some

Memorable exchange from Annie Hall:

Duane (Christopher Walken): Can I confess something? I tell you this as an artist, I think you’ll understand. Sometimes when I’m driving… on the road at night… I see two headlights coming toward me. Fast. I have this sudden impulse to turn the wheel quickly, head-on into the oncoming car. I can anticipate the explosion. The sound of shattering glass. The… flames rising out of the flowing gasoline.

Alvy Singer (Woody Allen): Right. Well, I have to - I have to go now, Duane, because I, I’m due back on the planet Earth.

So, sad the clap has now affected your english ablities. :noway: Awesome is one word, TWO SOUNDS :help:
MORE COWBELL!

Classic.

I liked his speach in Pulp Fiction about how Bruce Willis’ characters’ (can’t remember his name) father kept the watch he gave him in his ass while in a POW camp.

Exactly. I know he’s done a lot of other movies, but when I think of Christopher Walken, this is always the scene that comes to mind.

Wayne’s World 2 as Tia Carerra’s sleazy agent speaking Japanese with an English voiceover as he asks for her father’s permission to marry her.

Classic movie moment.

Also the Weapon of Choice video totally kicks ass. Everytime I listen to the song, I get a mental picture of the entire video and his dance moves.

Speak of the devil. Dogs of War is on TV now. Tom Berringer just got whacked.

I think he is excellent in…

 1. Search and destroy.
 2. True Romance. (the speech about ‘race.’ You know what I’m talking about!)
 3. The deer Hunter.

In al his other roles he is merely magnetic and incandessant!

I just downlaoded the SNL and now know what MORE COWBELL means!
