When is the right time to leave

Sigh…I miss good dim sum.

Hong Kong is just a short flight away!

All these posts i’ve been posting on this forum. I am afraid I might get flagged if they some how find out. :joy: :joy: :joy:

So I guess mokkie is no longer moving to Kaohsiung huh? :disappointed:

Yeah, but it’s worth it for the har gow, right?

 I like chicken feet more.

Thankfully the world—and the table—is big enough for both. :yum:

The human world has evolved so much in the past three years thus plans change also!

It sure doesn’t look like it.

On a side note, as long as our Gold Card Visa goes well (fingers crossed), we will hopefully be in Kaohsiung in the fall at some point.

Is Kaohsiung nice? I never been down there.

From what we remember (from 10 years ago), we really liked it. We will check it out for a month when we arrive, and if we like it, give it a solid year.

As background, we lived in Taipei from 2000-2010 off and on for 8 years or so, and visited Taiwan for 2 weeks again in 2019.

It depends what you’re after. I live here and find it okay, but boring. I prefer Taipei. But I know a couple people who prefer Kaohsiung (they say Kaohsiung is more relaxed than Taipei… but I don’t see that. The traffic is crazier here if anything).

To my knowledge I think it’s the same as KTown. The jobs are limited in Yilan though.
