I think I may have missed it.
I remember last year I went to some tax office near 西門 to get some tax refunded (I’m a teacher), but I can’t remember when it was.
Any idea?
Thanks.

Thanks. Do you know where I can find more information? Like when I can go and what I need to bring etc.
Each tax office has operating hours. Usually 8.30 or 9 to 5-5.30
I bring my ARC and passport.
Lots and lots of discussion in the forum.

You don’t even need your passport anymore.
Ah right, I didn’t realise it was “filing” taxes as my school takes the tax off automatically and I just go to the tax office to get back whatever I’m owed.
For the first time filing taxes in Taiwan, they still want to get a copy of the passport. At least that’s what they told me today in Taipei.
Ok, so just passport and ARC, no need for a contract, work permit etc etc…
Is this in Taipei? Every year the tax office in Taoyuan requires a copy of my passport and ARC.
The lack of consistency between offices wouldn’t surprise me, though.
I forgot mine. Got off the MRT and went back to get it. She didn’t even ask for it. They have a direct link to the entry exit bureau now.
I always take everything for something like this, never know what someone will think they need
Take your NHI card too.
I filed my taxes just last week at the tax office next to Beimen station in Ximen, they only asked for my ARC. It was the same last year.
