I was about to go down and get it today, but a friend here told me he thinks I should find a job first, because the exam is only valid for a limited time, and it isn’t necessary to have it done beforehand. Is that true? How long is it valid? Also what will it cost?
I think it’s more convenient to get it done before finding a job since it takes about 10 days and IIRC your work permit, ARC and whatever else can’t be done until your health exam is back. I know that I only had a couple of extra days in between my tourist visa expiring and getting my paperwork done to avoid a 6000NT (est) visa run.
But I don’t know about this ‘valid for a limited time’ part. Maybe that’s true and somebody else knows.
