When the line's getting blurry

Hey all,

I’m sure this happens to quite a few, but I’m wondering how you guys approach this. Have you met someone that you think could be your match? You have a strong connection and you flirt with each other, but you’re just friends…Two people seem to have strong feelings toward each other, but somewhere you also know this probably isn’t going anywhere…

In other words, the relation’s not progressing anywhere… what do you do? Keep dating and put him/her aside or do you eventually talk about it? (the big dreaded talk??) To ask, or not to ask is the question… :s

I totally feel you man, just fucking go for it! The threat of risk outweighs the regret of doing nothing.

Invite her out to do something that to her is obviously crossing the line (ie very romantic).

Her answer will make it clear what her feelings are.

do i talk like a guy, which i’m not… :astonished: but seriously, thanks for your input, just had enough with many guys i’m dating and used to date so good at playing this blurry, unclear line there, i sometimes doubt, are men really like this, or i just keep meeting the wrong unavailable guys?! Either way, think just gonna relax and take it easy…but your advice’s truly appreciated!!

What if both parties crossed the line already and at the same time the line’s still unlcear, sure we can always play along, but I wonder eventually how people can hang in there. :eh:

Dear urowndawg,
If you’re tired of that guy you’ve been dating for 5 years, you should go for that guy you’ve been flirting with at work. He likes you.

Oh, and on a personal note, why not get the guy a bit drunk and see what happens?

… be free like the flower in the wind… blowing softly… except when there is typhoon, then maybe passionate like wild stallion or calm like the oyster at the bottom of the ocean.

is this some kinda poem you made, witty and funny…

Well, then you’d know his true intentions!

Well, if you are a girl and he is a guy, then it is much easier. Gently touch him when you are in a conversation. If she responds by putting his tongue down your throat then it is probably a good sign. If his face looks like he just got fondled by his strange uncle then back off. Either way you will know now.

This entire thread is blurry. Some specifics of the situation might help.

Thanks for you guys feedback!!

That’s a good reminder. The motive or a person’s true intention is what counts.

I’m with Quentin.

The line appears to be the illusion here. What, specifically, means a relationship has gone “further?” Is this thread about vowing to keep a one and only, or are we talking about more permission to do naughty things together?

Cool off the relationship for a while, then you’ll know. If he gets frantic, then have ‘the talk’. If he doesn’t, he’s not into you.
