Where are good online classes?

I’m looking to learn Chinese while living in Japan. Are there any effective ways
of doing this?

I’m interested in good online classes or something. Maybe something through
Skype? What do you all recommend? Should I just advertise for SKYPE LE
or something?

I think I’d rather take some official class that would really teach me something. I’m at
the very beginners level of learning mandarin. Thanks.

It would be good if you could do some kind of online class at the same time, but I feel that Rosetta Stone could give you a useful foundation in core vocabulary and grammar and the pronunciation system. You might as well try the free demo anyway – the link’s in one of the posts I linked to above.
