Been looking for one along the shops near the nigh market where I live and at City Mall but to no avail. Looking for one in the style of Benedict Cumberbatch’s in Sherlock

Join the club. The closest I have seen is an 18K Goretex beauty for sale at the hiking shops in Zhongshan road. Finding a Neo leather long trench was easier.
Try Timberland outlets at the malls, like next to Costco Neihu or Xindian, too. Good luck.
I seriously was thinking of this exact same thing yesterday. If anyone finds one at a reasonable price, please post here. (18k is a bit much for a coat for me… more than my rent lol)
I got a nice overcoat in Seoul, and it’s the warmest piece of clothing I’ve ever owned. (Coming from LA, Taiwan’s winters are unbearable for me.) The thing about Taiwanese jackets is that they’re either effective or ugly, but there seems to be no middle ground.
My Korea coat, not the highest quality but nice looking enough to count as formal, was about $150 USD as I recall, so… 5,000 TWD would be a fair price if you could find one at a department store.
I would probably go the online route.

For anyone interested, I found a shop selling trenchcoats in city mall. I’m not good with brand names but they had a selection, the only brand name I recognised was Ralph Lauren and they were priced at $1900.
The shop sells only mens formal wear. Suits, sweater vests, ties etc. Unfortunately, the sizes were a bit big for me in the arms so I gave it a miss. Gonna go the online route I think. But still, figured I’d post it in case anyone else is interested.

However, do remember that trench coats are meant to be worn over suits so they tend to be bigger. They are also big, because they need to cover you up and yet not let you sweat in the rain by being skin tight. The Cumberbatch trench is not a trench it is a slim fit double breasted overcoat that has a skirt.

Ralph Lauren makes good quality trench coats with a removable inner lining perfect for cold TW rainy winters and for steamy summerry downpours.

Little bit??? Little more expensive than Burberry perhaps. Elitist I say. And at those prices it better be worth it.
Bought a Burberry knockoff (still made in the UK ) at Harrods in 85 for 65pounds. The real Burberry was 165 pounds.
I hardly ever wore it in Taiwan or California. Ended up giving it away to stop it taking up closet space.
Thing looked new when I gave it away in 2005.
It only came in real useful once while in Korea in Winter (and man if you are cold in Taipei you would be way colder in Seoul ! )
I have seen Burberry in HK for sale. Not cheap of course but they are there. And some knockoffs too.
