Hi I am new in town here and need to cash several thousand in travelers cheques (US dollars). I have gotten shut down by about 10 banks so far, can someone point me in the right direction here. Which banks (or maybe I just need to goto the right branch) can handle this type of transaction? I am in Taipei near NTU. thanks for the help.
Travelers’ checks are increasingly unpopular at banks in Taiwan, I think – very frustrating. The money changers at the airport should take them, though.
