Where can I find a Photo Booth in Taipei that issues a code?

Hi, I am trying to apply for a new British passport and it recommends getting a photo done at a booth that issues a code that can then be entered into their system to upload for the application:

Go to a photo shop or booth, and choose to get a code with your photo.

It’s simple to use in your online passport application.

  1. you’ll have the option to enter the code to access your photo
  2. after entering the code, you’ll see your photo on the screen
  3. check your photo and submit it
  4. your photo will be added directly to your application

Do these type of photo booths exist in Taipei, where can I find them?

Thanks

I used one of their booths, and the photos came with a code, but I don’t know if the code would work in your case.

Is using an app an option for you? One here but shop around to check prices, Everything You Need to Know about the digital Photo Code in the UK - Smartphone ID

don’t have answer, but this is one of many areas of some government entity (passport bureau) trying to use technology that isn’t widespread in the market yet. Probably some coder in government set it up to justify his/her job, saying it’d save X amount in costs, when actually just confuses potential users even more.

This looks good thanks

You can just upload your own photo following the instructions or have one taken at any photo shop then upload the file.

When you upload it will use AI to check and let you know if its ok, no need to crop they will do that for you.

Did mine just before Christmas, can use a mobile phone photo along as you match the guidelines on the website.

Just to add, when you get your new passport you need to change your ID so I got ID size photos printed and an uncroped file to send for the passport.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I ended up using that app recommended to me by @SuperS54. Just stood in front of a white wall, happen to have a decent lighting setup too and came out really well.
