Where can I find a site like Ebay in English in Taiwan?
I’ve heard Yahoo has one in Chinese, but is there one in English?

Hahaha…Tango42, you are in Taiwan, why would there be an English auction website? You know there is no auction site in English in Japan, Russia or Italy either. Go figure huh? Maybe you could start one and get really rich!
hmmm… good points… but it doesn’t hurt to ask, since like everyone it seems in taiwan is trying to learn english.

Tango: why do you want an English Auction in Taiwan? Do you want to sell or buy something? You can use the Forumosifieds.com or Tealit.com classifieds, or the Taipeitimes or various outdoor bullentin boards around Taipei. You could also befriend a Chinese speaker to help you use Yahoo Bid. In Taiwan everyone uses Yahoo Bid and Ebay is a distant second in terms of listings. You can also search on Yahoo Bid with English. For example, if you want to buy a Vespa, but you can’t type, wei shi pai in Chinese, just try Vespa or ET8 the model number. You can find loads of things for sale this way on the Chinese site. If you know a little Chinese it will go a long way on this site.

Craigslist is just getting started in TW, I believe, but it’s enormously popular here in selected cities in the US. Probably gives Ebay a run for its money in a lot of cases

From what I’ve seen Craigslist has not taken off outside the US. Still, it is worth a try since it is in English.
