Since fructose is bad for you and I want to make some candy that calls for corn syrup I am having a problem finding it here.
Anyone know were I can buy some KARO Syrup or Chinese Brand Corn Syrup?

It’s available in both Costco and Jason’s, where I saw some yesterday.
For corn syrup: the DIY baking shops, Jason’s (I think) and Wellman’s (had Karo light yesterday, $160)
And I know the OP is not looking for fructose, but for anyone else unable to find corn syrup or for substituting in a pinch, see DIY baking shops or local groceries for fructose syrup. Pancake syrup sometimes does it in a pinch, and you can always make your own sugar syrup when needed, choosing whatever sugar you want as your base. Measure it out in the volume needed in the original recipe, then add 25% water (e.g. for 1 c syrup, use 1 c sugar plus 1/4 c water).
I can find fuctrose syrup about everywhere but it is really bad for the body. It is basically what sodapop is made from and turns into instant fat around your middle.
That is why I was looking for Karo or even Brown Rice Syrup is a good sub if you need it in a recipe.
Now I am looking for Black Garlic. I just can’t find anything here.
Interesting: Karo syrup is Corn Syrup but they assert that they contain 0% High Fructose Corn Syrup. Interesting.
Anyway, if you can find your way to Taipei 101, Jasons has it as of yesterday. I saw it right next to the molasses I was picking up.
Bump!
Was at Jason’s recently and they did not have corn syrup. Will check DIY baking shops and Costco.
Black garlic: Xinhai MRT, exit, to the right of the 711 visible from the station. Easy!
Is corn syrup really any better for you?
It’s still sugar and has glucose and fructose in it.
And it’s I believe an ‘invert’ sugar.
Oh, and it’s also used to make fake honey! Or, added to honey to make it cheaper.
It’s like the magical word ‘cane’ sugar, it’s just sugar.
I can’t imagine using corn syrup because you think it’s “better for you” - it’s all sugar. Mostly I use it - which is how I ended up here - as an ingredient in certain cookie frostings. Nothing else gives black and white cookie frosting quite the same semi-hard, glossy texture and also brings the flavor.
