Thinking of taking a job in Banqiao, but my kids would have to go to preschool and eventually grade school, maybe at Taiwan American School. What district should I look to buy a place for a family of 4 If not too far from work and my kids school? New or luxurious place preferred.
Parts of Yonghe are nice and close to MRT.
Banqiao is great, better than yonghe at this point and the blue line is convenient.

Most people I know with kids your age choose to live near the school. Makes life a lot easier for the kids and it’s just a 40 mins drive for you.

Do you mean Taipei American School? I can’t help but imagine there’s some super sketchy cram school calling itself “Taiwan American School”…
Banqiao is a bit of a hike from Tianmu (where TAS is). You could also consider somewhere in Zhongshan or near Yuanshan, which isn’t quite an in-between, but much more centrally located while being closer to TAS than Banqiao. There are new “luxury” (
) apartments popping up all over the city, so no worries there!
