Hi everyone 
Can anyone recommend bars, pubs, that have a slightly older crowd? I’m interested in meeting people closer to my age. If it’s a craft beer place - huge bonus! It definitely doesn’t have to be an expat hang out, but it’s fine if it is.

Most of us volunteer at animal rescue associations. Do you like cats or dogs?
I’d recommend the Hash House Harriers if you like running or a hiking group if not.
As stated, Zumba classes or dancing clubs.

Brass Monkey, Thursday night. But if you want to meet classier ladies, I’ve heard that Ziga Zaga at the Grand Hyatt hotel is supposed to be good for this demographic. I think they have live jazz or something every weekend.

Retirement Home. Some of them are 2x over 40 
Think both those suggestions are far outdated.

Probably… I haven’t been going out much in the last 5 or so years.
They are probably outdated if I know them as the go-tos almost 20 years ago 
. I actually went to check if the Grand Hyatt still existed because I heard a while back that they were going to demolish it. That said…they may still be the go-tos cos Taiwan ain’t the most happening place for nightlife and it’s not getting better .

Whatever happened to the legendary “Friday clubs” (not TGI, LOL…)? They were apparently for older, wealthier women to find usually younger and foreign men.
Ziga Zaga at the Hyatt? Surely that is not still going. The cougars must be in retirement homes by now.

Cougars are after younger faster prey.
I should have known better.
To summarize, it seems that I’ve got a choice of:
Volunteering to walk dogs.
Old folks homes.
Cougar killing fields.
Or some specific bars - the current status of which is more or less unknown.
