Just out at a bar with friends and ordered a Guinness. Was told that there hasn’t been draft Guinness anywhere in Taiwan for about a month now. Can’t seem to find any recent info online, so what gives? Global shortage?

Shortage is correct. It’s been going on since June/July.
A shortage apparently partly due to a rise in popularity down to this stupid “Splitting the G” nonsense, leading to it becoming trendy more with younger drinkers (although I suspect those nice people at Diageo are milking this for all its worth).
I have cans, I’ll split the G with somebody.
Word on the street is it’s back. Probably see it back on tap over the weekend.
