Which band most summed up the 80s?

Still together and consistently putting out a new album once every four years since 1993. But some of their best and most iconic work was released between 1981 and 1990. This primarily electronic band never stooped to using a Yamaha DX7. No keyboard presets for them. This band is:

agree. JT great. then that half-live one with B.B. King was good. then Achtung downnnnnnn…

I go for success and longevity, so

Bon Jovi here and U2 there.

Which is sad, I know. But hey, it is what it is. DD was a great band and then MTV packaging hit them and by RIO they were gone.

Was going to throw Van Halen’s Hot for Teacher, but mostly this one summarizes 80s best

I think we may have strayed into the 70’s a little. Even more illustrious :wink:You all realize that you are turning into your parents :yum::joy:

No way, then I would be into Benny Goodman and the Andrew Sisters

I thought of going with GNR, but they were just not embedded enough in the 80s…they were more of a turning point or zenith, if you will.

I do understand that I have more chance of you voting for a certain politician , than joining me on the gentler tones in musical tastes :notlistening:

You’re wrong there

I remember sitting outside in the housing estate with my buddies who had a ghetto blaster and playing that appetite for destruction album (with its wierd robot illustrations that we didn’t understand, and its lyrics that we didn’t understand, but somehow we knew it was a rocking album.

I had respect for you until I clicked on the U2 and Madonna links! (kidding, well maybe not kidding about U2, but anyway)
