I’m not talking about the 3-in-1 combos that you see around, those are actual credit cards; they still go the 1 month cycle and then deduct from your savings account after 1 month, and you still get a separate credit card bill, etc. I’m talking about an actual check card that deduct immediately from your savings account, same bill. Anything like that around in taiwan?
And also, what are the pros and cons of using a local bank for personal banking rather than a large international bank like Citibank or HSBC or even BofA? I’m getting sick of the incompetence of local banks so i’m thinking of switching to a large int’l bank with local presence. However i don’t think Citibank has that many branches or ATMs in taipei, that might be a hassle.
Any advice would be appreciated.
