Who plays piano on "Oscillate Wildly" by The Smiths

One guy says it was Misserry and the other that it was Malcolm Muggeridge. But there is no definitive answer.

Morrissey wasn’t good enough on piano to have played this, IMHO, as evidenced by his performance on the outro on “I Threw Myself Down a Well at The Mothers’ Union Meeting”.

Dicsuss. (20 marks)

So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : “Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing”
I said : “That’s nothing - you should hear me play piano”

I have been informed that it was Marr. In case anyone was having sleepless nights.

Didn’t Johnny do everything in that band?

Yes, indeed. At least everything musically.

I guess Morrissey took care of the lyrics.

:roflmao:

btw I heard you will never be invited to another FredFest again. :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh oh. I guess I’ll just to stay home and listen to my old Smiths cassette tapes.

“So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home
And you cry
And you want to die.”

and:

“Haven’t had a dream in a long time.
See, the life I’ve had could make a good man bad.
So for once in my life let me get what I want;
Lord knows it would be the last time.
Lord knows it would be the first time.”

“So, what difference does it make?
Oh, what difference does it make?”

“Some girls’ mothers are bigger than other girls’ mothers.”

“come armageddon come armageddon come”

Didn’t John Peel say that the Smiths were the only band who could make him laugh out loud?

I don’t think that was praise, but ridicule. Although I do think he was referring to Morosey’s haircut.

Well, perhaps Morrissey did address this haircut issue by entitling his first solo album Suedehead. And it did include the classic track “Hairdresser on Fire.”

“And you’re just too busy
To see me
Busy clippers
Oh, hairdresser on fire
(only the other day)”

Surely you jest? Peel was the greatest supporter of the Smiths on the radio. He has spoken at great lengths about his affection for their humor.

No marr did not Do everything in the band period let’s not forget about mike joyce and andy rourke period especially without andy rorke’s baselines though songs would not have sounded the same at all

You gotta like Marr though. I like How Soon Is Now (who doesn’t) and Death of a Disco Dancer
