As topic suggests, anyone know of Taiwan wholesalers for baking materials such as flour, cocoa powder, nuts, butter, etc. in the Taipei area? I’m not looking for super huge amounts to buy but probably 10-20kg per order would be ok. Any constructive advice would be great! Thanks!
Just in case you don’t get a better answer – The baking supply stores like the one under the Minquan bridge are open to negotiation on price if you buy in bulk, like 10+ kg for flour. For nuts etc. I’d try Costco or the bulk dry goods stores in the Dihua st. area; for butter, maybe Costco. What are you doing with 20 kg of butter, if I may ask?
Hopefully Belgian Pie, citizen k or others can give you better leads here.
Ah I see, thx for the reply Dragon, that helps a lot thx. ![]()
I’m partnering with a friend doing dessert catering so we need a lot of ingredients usually ![]()
Already got my Costco membership and yes, I get my butter there ![]()
Thx again!
Down south, there are some excellent choices, but there are none of them above Tainan. My southern friends all call them, “the Pineapple Store,” as the store has no English name, but has a large pinapple-like logo. I’ve lost the business card, but I’ll go to K-town later this month and get another, then post details for you if you like (but I’m not able to type Mandarin).
Ok thx a lot housecat! I did notice a lot of wholesaler of food stuffs were located down south but usually they required super large bulk orders. Hopefully this “Pineapple Store” place doesn’t require it that way!
Any info you could post about them later would be most welcome. Thanks!

I’m planning to go to K town over the weekend, so I’ll try to post the infomation. These places do not require bulk ordering, you can walk in an purchase off the shelf, but many things are sold in large, restaurant use sizes. I shop there whenever I have get the chance for lots of things I can’t find elsewhere (not that someone else couldn’t find them elsewhere, but I can’t. I don’t live in TPE, though.).
im not sure if its wholesale or not, but one place here sells cocoa powder for $400/5kg just for reference.
Oh really, thats a great price! But I’m not sure when you say “here” your talking about TPE or, as your name suggests, Ping Dong? (and btw, would you happen to have any contact info for this place?)
You can try to get those ingredient in “Fashionmall” which locates in Shilin Dist. TPE.
I’ve been there and feel it’s quite a professional store for baking.

TY for the reply breadpapa! I’m currently going to that place and getting some of my ingredients. They do have a lot of selection there but I find them a little pricey on some stuff. I know they got that membership card for 300 annually and 5% off ingredient purchases…
but I suppose that’s better than nothing though
You looking for somewhere in Taipei? In Zhonghe, just south of Number 4 Park, there is a place where we used to get all our baking supplies (including butter).
The place is called 艾佳 原料食品 (Aijia Ingredients/Raw Materials)
They have every imaginable baking ingredient (and tool), and they have all sorts of sizes. You can get small amounts, or you can get very large amounts which are cheaper, of course.
awesome shawn! thx so much for this info. i will definately check this place out
I know they sell some stuff in bulk near Dihua street. Not sure the addy though.
I agree that Queen’s DIY is expensive.
