Did I miss something, like an invasion announcement?

But realistically, I haven’t seen any news and I’m also right by Songshan Airport. When they’re preparing for national day, I hear it, which means if they’re preparing for an invasion, the Air Force isn’t getting ready.
A few months ago there was a whole fleet of military helicopters that would fly circles in formation over the Guandu rice fields at like 7am each day, for several days. I never found out what it was about.
Convoys passing through happens. Does OP live near a military base? This whole thread is much ado about nothing. You’d hear raid sirens, there would’ve been preceding escalation, etc, etc. Besides everyone knows China’s first move will be weeks/months of cyber attacks. 
My dream last night was pretty realistic, albeit physically impossible. We could see the “muzzle fire” from the launches across the straight.
Maybe the ric was acting out of line.
A month and a half ago I was driving through Hengchun and I heard artillery fire. Obviously it was a drill.
There one went again. Thought I heard another a few minutes earlier, too.
First times in ten years that I have seen or heard these, and suddenly they’re all over. Something afoot?
