for "real’ wigs rather than the fancy dress type, theres a wig shop on zhongxiao e rd, near City hall MRT, opposite the new department store.
Or right at Zhongxiao-Fuxing ((SE corner, turn right when you exit MRT) there is a shop called Man-Woman Wig or something like that.
What about costume type wig?
I want a long straight black wig (Cher) and a short shaggy wig (Sonny) for one night only, so need it to be cheap!
What about fake moustache, fake side burns, fake chest hair?
Search for costume(s), e.g. [forumosa.com/taiwan/viewtopic.ph … 15#p788915](Halloween costume ideas!
I can point you to a wiggery in Taichung. Where are you, poster?
Thank you, I ended up trawling around Ximending and found what I needed at a cheap wig shop in an alley there.
$799 for a long hair wig, $699 for short hair.
Also found some rental stores that charged about $300 for 3 days along Hanzhong Rd, in the costume stores
The straight black wig are on sale here! They are of good quality, and it can garantee the comfort and safty! now there is no need to worry about the extra trouble on growing hair!
Why a wig? Just use black shoe polish to color-in your skull. Many Taiwanese men use that trick. Or a comb-over.
MM knows … he wears a wig for years now …
I know, I promised not to tell anyone … but who can you trust nowadays? ![]()
What is it with the ridiculous wigs older men wear here? Is it because nobody points out to them how fake they are, because of face and respect to elders, that the guys dont realise how ludicrous the orange/black rodent on their head looks?
Old Taiwanese men’s wigs are the worst I’ve ever seen.
Yes , the newer wigs are much better ![]()
Aunt Peng…why you need a wig?
Anyway there’s for rent wigs at Hsimenting did rent once for my colleague I guess we rent for NTD300 for a week but that was 10 years ago
That actor/politicians (Taoyuan/Linkou?) wig is spikey and is in a different location in different pictures. Looks funny because he is old and wrinkled but hair looks like a 20 year old.
I think there are no good quality wig makers in Taiwan. Only the chain stores you see everywhere with wigs in the window like the green themed C.Y.S.
And anyway, got to be cheap.
Oh God…there is no hope for me ![]()
Isn’t bald in Chinese culture supposed to mean strong and virile? Why don’t they claim it?!
Do they supply merkins?
No idea.
Thanks for teaching me a new word today. ![]()
