Withholding Tax for White Collar Foreigners having marriage certificate in Taiwan

So… this is a new tax calendar year. My income tax is withhold 18% because it’s less than 90-183 days staying here in Taiwan.

But I have a marriage certificate from Household Registration office in Nangang. Does it mean I am exempted to pay this 18% withholding tax?

It is your employer who chooses to withhold your salary as a precaution in case you leave without paying your taxes. If they don’t want to, they don’t have to do it. I personally wouldn’t stand for it unless it was my dream job.
