If they provided an ARC it would be fine. Taiwanese tend to think in the box. Providing an ARC that stipulates the conditions would fix most of the problems associated with the WHV in TW

@justintaiwan: So you did not have to pay taxes because your bosses let you work informally, and when you left, no one asked questions, is this correct?
I did not pay any taxes because my salary was undeclared. No one asked questions.
But this is illegal, i just couldn’t bothered with the drama. I was supposed to pay taxes on the income.
