Just wanted to ask what restrictions there are if I get a job and a work permit. RIght now I am considering a job where I will get about 7.5 hours a week teaching, which is just enough to cover living expenses, but obviously I would want to take other work while doing this. So my questions are:
-Is it possible to work for multiple employers at the same time? Work at this job plus one more part time to get to around 15/20 hours a week for instance.
-Is it legal to do some kind of private tutoring? I’m guessing no, but I figure it can’t hurt to ask.
Did some more digging around the forum and found my questions sort of answered in the Legal issues at Work section in the thread Work Rules for English Teachers
-It looks like you can get more than one work permit. Im not sure if it’s harder or a pain in the ass or not, or if its the same difficulty as getting the first work permit.
-The company should be offering me 14 hrs. but it sounds like a lot of places will blur the line here.
-Private tutoring does not seem to be legal(i would assume unless you are Taiwanese or get citizenship)
