Work permit for a cook -- minimum salary and other requirements

Good morning everyone,

Im in Taiwan on Working Holiday Visa and I’m working as a Cook in a restaurant in Taipei, my restaurant would like to Sponsor me for a Work Visa but they said the salary is high for this kind of jobs which is no less than NT $47,971 for a Work Visa what I saw on internet, ( my salary is 36000 now )

This salary is also understood for the Cooks or only the Foreigners teachers, ingineer…etc ?
Thank you for your responses,

Sincerely,

1 more question, I checked the requirements, it said I need to have at least 2 years expérience, I have my diploma since 2015 but I can’t proove all my experience, many are without contrat ( I worked on busy tourist season)
I love Taiwan I really want to stay here :worried:

Yes, they need to pay you more money.

It’s the Workforce Development Agency that issues the work permit, so I would contact them to ask what documents they will accept as evidence of your work experience.

Some news, I asked the Agency and check the requirement, this is what I found :

4.Specialists who have been trained professionally or self-taught in the specific field and have more than five years experiences in related skills and have demonstrated outstanding performances.(Note: The ministry has established a consultation procedure for expatriates as professional and *skilled workers to be exempted from the five-year work experience requirement. But those acknowledged as startup with innovation capabilities are not subject to the limit on years of work experience.)

With all my last contrat I have 1 year and 2 months experience straight, doest it mean I am fit with the requirements ?

You may check consultation mechanism.

Thanks for the reply, Do I need to translate all my documents in Chinese (last contrat experience and diploma ) ?
Thanks,

  • Any documents not in Chinese shall provide translation unless otherwise specified in other regulations.

Mostly, if you’re not from an English speaking country they like translations, notarizing … TECO stamp.
