Working as a Clinical Psychologist in Taiwan

Hi

I’m a 24 year old assistant psychologist in the UK. I have a first class bachelors degree in psychology & a Master’s degree further specialising in Clinical Psychology. I have spent a year working within a psychiatric hospital and another working within a community mental health team. I have a long term goal of becoming a clinical psychologist, and have submitted an application for the DCLIN doctoral course in the UK.

Due to a variety of boring and confusing factors, I am interested in moving to Taiwan. My options seem to be:

  1. Wait for my DCLIN which will take a very long time, move over, practice privately online.
  2. Move to Taiwan to complete appropriate qualifications there at a University. Practice in person and online privately.

I’m just really confused when I look into step 2. I don’t know how easy/realistic it is for me as an English person to become a clinical psychologist if I were to engage in study in Taiwan. From my own research I seem to need to complete a PhD and an official sort of exam. There seems to be plenty of PhD courses that are taught in English when I search but I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Please help!

did you already check these rules?

Psychologists Act

Enforcement Rules of the Psychologists’ Act

Senior Professional and Technical Examinations Regulations for Psychologists

i don’t think you need a phd to get a certificate.
without a certificate you cannot use the title of psychologist.
the exam questions are in chinese, but maybe you can answer in english.
