šŸŒ World Travel | How Many Cities Have You Been To?

Not SĆ£o Paulo. It’s like NYC.

I have a common Japanese-Brazilian first name. When I was in SP girls on Tinder would call me Japa.

Mass shootings occur in nice neighborhoods.

Ever been to Rio? I’ve not once seen a mass shooting nor known anyone that has died in one after years living in the US. I’ve seen two robberies after a week in Rio. So it’s not even comparable.

The chances of getting mugged as a tourist in Rio are very high. Some even say it’s part of the experience.

An ex-colleague of mine got mugged on his first evening there, IIRC. Apparently he just went for a walk near the beach and, boom, mugged.

Rookie mistake. :slightly_smiling_face:

No

One of the school shootings was in a wealthy Connecticut neighborhood.

Also, which San Jose?

I count Heidelberg as Frankfurt since I flew into Frankfurt.

24 not including airport stops

Yes, Brazil is not safe as far crime. In fact very bad but still enjoyed my one visit and nearby Buenos Aires (BA) on my same trip. BA is very much a Southern Euro city, even with late Spanish meal hours. Also about Spain, I thought its odd to have more than the two big Spanish cities on this list? UK had only one city haha on the list.

There’s no way Santiago is better than Kyoto. I’ve lived in both and the quality of life is incomparable. To have a decent standard of living in Santiago, you have to at least be upper middle class (what we call ABC1), while in Kyoto you can leave in a peaceful and clean place on a pretty tight budget (buying all your groceries at Gyomu Supa and biking instead of taking public transport).

Who says it’s about quality of life? It’s about influence.

  1. Unlike Jimi I like leaving home, grew up lower class so have struggled to afford it

The most interesting places I’ve been are the ones most people don’t know about. This list reminds of girls whose Tinder profiles are just flags of all the countries they touched down in, kinda silly.

You’re probably a tad younger than me.

Pointless disagreements about pointless rankings on a pointless list…. Classic Forumosa. :orange_heart:
