I started using TalkPal, using the free daily 10 minutes of language exchange in Korean. It’s very good but I kind of lost interest. My AI person is named “Emma” and she (it?) of course uses a female voice. It felt a tiny bit oddly like I was cheating. I showed it to my wife and she just laughed.
No graphics. Just a voice. I imagine with holographic images eventually things are going to get weird in the future.
The firt stage has happened a while ago and that is NPC dating in video games.

Her robot version could just be a tape loop of her pronouncing her name for all I care.
